VERA VEIL

How shared stories are kept

Who reads it

Every story is read by Vera Veil, and no one else. Nothing you send appears on the site on its own.

If you don’t tick “you may publish my story”

It stays private. It will never be published, quoted or shown to anyone.

If you do

  • It may appear on this site, in full or in part, as one of the stories people share.
  • Names, places and any details that could identify you or anyone else will be removed or changed first.
  • It may be shortened, or lightly edited for clarity, without changing what you meant.
  • The name you give, if any, may appear with it. Your email never will.
  • You keep the rights to your own story. Sharing it here gives Vera Veil permission to publish it on this site, nothing more.

Please don’t identify other people

Your story is yours to tell. Other people in it deserve the same privacy you do, so please leave out names and details that would let anyone recognise them.

Changing your mind

You can ask for your story to be changed, kept private, or deleted at any time, including after it’s published. Write to hello@veraveilmedia.com with a few words from it so it can be found.

Your information

What’s stored, where, and for how long is in the privacy note.
